Packaging: Recyclable amber glass bottle, reusable glass & plastic pipette or EPE lined metal cap (remove the EPE liner before adding the cap to the metal recycling bin). The label is unbleached brown paper, but it is not currently compostable due to the synthetic glue (ZWP are working on it!).
A pipette is the best applicator for this type of product (to prevent over-use or product wastage), but it is also made with plastic. Therefore ZWP decided to offer two options, one with pipette and a "refill" with a metal cap, just remember to keep the pipette!
Electricity: This product was made using 100% renewable energy!
Please note that because this product is handmade slight variations in size may occur.
One of the main drivers for Zero Waste Path was that it is usually very hard to find information about the waste that happens before a product gets to the consumer, and this is also true for many sustainable products. The founders of ZWP, Bianca and Giulio therefore decided to create a company that wasn’t zero waste and sustainable only in the final packaging, but all along the production chain. They are huge fans of transparency, and they share all of their waste, practices and decisions on their Instagram and Facebook pages.
ZWP don't outsource anything - they manufacture all of their products in their workshop, they carefully select suppliers and take care of every aspect of what they do.
