A new daffodil coloured reusable rice husk coffee cup by Huski Home.

I have been using one of these amazing cups for months now and I absolutely love it, so I am so pleased to add the whole range to my shop!

I also love the fact that these products are all melamine free, as so many rice husk or bamboo home ware products that have started appearing in high street shops are actually mixed with melamine (which is not eco-friendly).

These coffee cups are all made from sustainable and recycled rice husk which is biodegradable.  They are insulated to keep hot drinks at an optimum temperature for up to 90 minutes and come with a leak proof flip lid.

WHY I LOVE THESE:

  • Reusable cups for hot and cold drinks
  • Plastic free & biodegradable
  • Made from sustainable rice husks
  • Free from melamine, toxins, BPA & silicone
  • Leak-proof flip lid & non slip base
  • Twin walled insulation to keep your drinks warmer for longer

The cup is made from sustainable and recycled rice husks.

Please note that the cups are also bound with polypropylene because its environmental impact is among the lowest of any material, synthetic or traditional, and is produced from natural polyolefin resins which allow it to breakdown and biodegrade. The white handle is polypropylene and yes it is biodegradable.

The bottom is a foam non-slip material. It’s NOT biodegradable but stops the cup from slipping around or scratching surfaces.  The small piece of foam should be removed at the end of the cups life and put in the normal rubbish bin.

Packaging is 100% recycled paper and jute twine which are both biodegradable.

    Size:

    400 ml  / 15.7 x 8.8 x 8.8 cm

Have you heard about Rice Husk Waste?

Rice husks, which are a by-product of the rice harvest, are proving an issue for the world of agriculture and are usually being disposed of in less than environmentally friendly ways.

From burning to burying, many countries are drowning in rice husks they don’t know what to do with. Rice husk waste is a potential environmental hazard.  The burning of the husks is obviously not great for the environment and it causes larger problems for nearby wildlife too.  The fires are quick to catch and destroy surrounding nature and can prove dangerous to any of the populace that live in the area.

Huski Home have taken the rice husks and made products out of them that can be recycled and reduce waste-related pollution.

    Hand wash only.

Huski Home is a family-run company that puts sustainability at the top of the priority list.  They are proud to utilise what is biodegradable and earth-friendly.  At Huski Home they recycle rice husks to create beautiful products, which otherwise would have been wasted.
