Home Composting: Under certain conditions, it can be ok to put dog poo in your home compost. If you do, the compost should not be used for any edible plant/ vegetable areas as bacteria from the poo is not good for humans. You may want to have a separate compost bin/ area for your dog poo and then only use that compost for other areas of the garden that are away from any edible plants.
If your dog is ill or has worms please do not put dog poo in the home compost bin.
Bags are cornstarch based and are EN13432 certified, the highest European standards for compostable products.
The packaging is made from recycled cardboard and is fully recyclable.
FETCH·IT is based in Manchester in the UK. After getting her first dog, Kiki noticed that the biodegradable bags for sale in supermarkets and pet stores can take decades to degrade and then only into tiny micro-plastics. Micro-plastics also make their way to our oceans and are harmful to marine life.
As a result of this, Kiki decided to find a more eco-friendly alternative, so she designed a compostable poo bag which is made from cornstarch. This means that the bag degrades within weeks into natural elements which aren’t harmful to the environment. FETCH·IT have also made every effort to make everything about their product eco-friendly including the packaging.
