Coconut Bowl Tea Light - Wave

Product Description
£9.99
Maximum quantity available reached.

A lovely handmade coconut shell bowl tea light.

Coconut tea lights make beautiful additions to the home. Made from waste coconut shell, they also make excellent plant pots and sit very happily in a macramé plant pot holder too!

This handcrafted coconut bowl tea light is a repurposed coconut shell that was salvaged from “waste” produced from the harvesting of/production of coconut fruit for its flesh, milk and cream.

This design is called the WAVE as the pattern is wave-like. It looks so pretty with a tea light candle. The light will make a beautiful pattern in the space. These tea lights look equally good as plant pots too.

Handmade fairly in Vietnam they are an upcycled thing of beauty! The coconut shells that become the bowls are sourced from across Hanoi cities juice bars.

They’re made slow and fair in Vietnam and then they are shipped from Hanoi to the UK by sea freight as part of The Good Dot's commitment to reduce their carbon footprint.

The bowls are natural shell and therefore should be treated like ceramic.

Who makes the bowls?

The bowls are produced in a small factory in Hanoi, Vietnam. The founder employs a lot of women and pays all his staff a good wage. When asked why he isn’t fair trade or the equivalent, he cited that in order for his bowls to be certified the entire supply chain would need to follow suite. And as he forages his bowls from across the city, it isn’t possible to become fair trade.

A brand of low waste circular products to replace commonplace plastic equivalents. The Good Dot was developed with practicality and the planet in mind. How can we do “good” by using more sustainable items in a practical way?

The Good Dot creates both practical, effective and sustainable products whilst also being members of 1% for the planet and being part of the Eden Reforestation programme that tackles poverty and environmental issues concurrently.
